Barford Owen Davies (BOD) conducted Financial Due Diligence on us (Bluestone) as part of a recent refinance exercise with Development Bank of Wales (DBW) and Barclays. Whilst BOD were acting on behalf of DBW, we became familiar with their expertise, experience and how they handled the FDD process.

Andy and Emma at BOD spent the time to listen and understand how our business works, they came with no preset views and were open minded about our historical and forecast financial picture. They probed where appropriate, but equally didn’t labour resource in areas where it wasn’t required. They conducted a focused DD review and explored all the appropriate areas of risk from an FDD point of view. This is reassuring to see DBW take this level of FDD when lending substantial sums to Welsh Businesses and an exercise that we welcomed.

The final report produced by BOD was logical and detailed and I was impressed by the level of detail and understanding that BOD had captured in a matter of two intense weeks conducting the FDD. Barford Owen Davies have recently helped our business (in retail and hospitality) with a demerger from our parent company which was recently part of an acquisition process.
